Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Freely. They're written to be read, not to be survived. Using Freely means you accept them.

What Freely provides

Freely gives you informational tools for researching, organising and discovering employment and freelance opportunities. It investigates a job you send it, surfaces what the available evidence says, and helps you keep track of what you're pursuing.

Freely is not:

• an employer, and it does not offer you work;
• a recruiter or staffing agency;
• the publisher of third-party job listings;
• a guarantee of employment, an interview, or a rate;
• a guarantee that any listing is legitimate, current, or accurately described.

Check a Job

A Freely check is built from whatever information is available at the time. That information can be incomplete, out of date, or contradictory, and the AI-generated interpretation of it can be wrong. Ratings and confidence levels are informational signals — they are not instructions about whether to apply, accept, decline or negotiate, and they aren't professional, legal, financial or career advice.

Confirm anything that matters — pay, title, location, contract terms, the employer's identity — with the employer directly before you act on it. Every decision remains yours.

Checks, packs and Freely+

Browsing and filtering jobs is free. A Check — one complete investigation of one job — is paid. New accounts get three Checks free. After that you can buy a pack of Checks, which never expire, or subscribe to Freely+ for a monthly allowance of Checks. Prices are shown before you pay and payment is handled by Stripe; Freely never sees or stores your card details.

If a Check fails before Freely produces a report, it is not charged to your balance. Freely+ renews monthly until you cancel, you can cancel at any time from your account page in one step, and cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for. We don't auto-upgrade you, and we don't hide the cancel button. Packs are non-refundable once used; if something goes wrong, email hello@freelygigs.com and we'll sort it out.

Third-party sources and listings

Freely links to and analyses information from external websites, job boards and applicant tracking systems. It does not control those sites, cannot guarantee their availability or accuracy, and isn't responsible for their content or their terms. Your dealings with an employer or platform are between you and them.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use Freely. Keep your sign-in details secure, give accurate information where it's asked for — inaccurate rates or preferences produce useless results — and let us know if you think someone else has access to your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page.

What you submit

Only submit content you're allowed to share. Don't upload other people's personal data, confidential material you don't have rights to, or anything unlawful. You keep ownership of your CV, profile and anything you paste in; you grant Freely permission to process it solely to produce your results and run your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape Freely, resell its output as your own service, attempt to bypass access controls or usage limits, interfere with its infrastructure, or use it for fraudulent, abusive or illegal purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do, and may remove content that breaks these rules.

Intellectual property

The Freely name, logo, site design, written copy, software and the methodology behind its checks are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing here transfers rights in them to you. This does not claim ownership of your content, or of third-party job listings and the material Freely analyses — those belong to whoever published them.

Disclaimers and liability

Freely is provided as-is and as-available. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any finding is accurate or complete; availability of listing data depends on third parties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Freely is not liable for lost work, lost income, missed opportunities, or indirect or consequential losses arising from decisions you make using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to the service and these terms

Freely is actively developed. Features may be added, changed or removed. Paid Checks, packs and Freely+ are live today, and the pricing, billing and refund terms that apply to them are the ones set out above and on the pricing page. If prices or billing terms change, the change is published here and on the pricing page before it applies to you, and material changes to these terms are reflected in the date at the top of this page.
